The TRANSitions Voice Clinic is part of the Maryjane Rees Language, Speech and Hearing Center at Sacramento State, an education and training facility preparing students for careers in speech-language pathology and audiology.
The TRANSitions Voice Clinic is dedicated to individuals who want to use a healthy, normal voice in their chosen professional, personal, and gender roles. The clinic is designed to educate and train clients in producing voice with optimum qualities in a sustainable manner so that individuals can present themselves in a way that they are comfortable with across situations and settings.
The clinic is scheduled as 70-minute sessions twice a week for twelve weeks. Twenty minutes are given to group voice instruction or conversation if there are interesting legal and/or political events of interest to clients and clinicians. Fifty minutes are devoted to individual sessions between student therapist and client.
